Global Disaster Relief & Development Summit

The 9th Aid & International Development Forum's (AIDF) Global Disaster Relief Summit returns to Washington D.C. on September 6-7, 2017. This year the Summit will expand its scope beyond disaster relief operations and will look into emerging global challenges, technological innovations and opportunities in international aid and development sector. 

Internews' Senior Director for Humanitarian Programs, Anahi Ayala Iacucci will be leading a roundtable discussion entitled, "Understanding the Humanitarian ICT Data Ecosystem" on September 6.

The Summit's agenda is focusing on innovations and technologies that help strengthen disaster resilience, early-warning systems, and best practice in emergency communication, data collection and mapping. It will also address topics such as disaster and climate change, post-disaster settlement planning and shelter assistance.
