The responsible data lifecycle

Join us for a panel with Oxfam, Internews and CDAC to discuss the importance of handling data responsibly in humanitarian contexts and share some tips on utilising Oxfam's Responsible Data Training Pack effectively.

Managing data properly may be the greatest challenge of the information age. So there's great excitement around launch of a new pack developed by Oxfam to help us treat the data that we collect in our programmes with respect, and uphold the rights of people who data is about. Visit www.oxfam.org.uk/responsibledata to get sight of the principles of RDM, the planning processes to use, and how to handle unexpected issues in different contexts.

Oxfam has created a Responsible Data Management Training pack which includes leaflets on managing the data life-cycle responsibly; jargon busters; posters; top tips for taking photos in humanitarian crises, the pack contains two interactive card games exploring real-life decision-making dilemmas.
